Please join us on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 11am to 2pm for author Monica Hardie, who will be signing copies of her book The Thorn.
Summary: What if the first to comprehend the whole story concerning the crucifixion of Jesus Christ wasn't a person at all? Not any of His 12 disciples nor Jesus' mother, Mary, but instead an unexpected spectator there on that fateful day. What if the first to guess at and then know it as truth, with a glorious celebration tinged with sadness, was actually one of the thorns on the crown Jesus wore that day?
This book tells the story of two of the most important events in mankind's history: the crucifixion of the Son of Man, followed by the resurrection of Jesus, the Son of God. The Thorn is a chronological account of those events. Although the book follows the scriptures--as told through the eyes of both Jesus and His mother, Mary--its fictional aspects include two additional viewpoints: that of the man whose place He took on the cross that day, and one of the thorns on the crown of thorns He wore that day.
